Kushboo Case Has Been Dropped

The case filed on Kushboo during an incident that happened at the launch of Parthiban’s ‘Vallamai Tharayo’ has been dropped. The case was lodged for wearing chappals in front of idols of goddesses at a film Vallamai Tharayo ‘muhurat’ in Chennai. The second magistrate court in Kumbakonam on Monday dismissed the petition.

The magistrate Babu Lal said the petition was ‘baseless’ and dismissed it. Gurumurthy, a Hindu Munnani activist, lodged a complaint before a civil court alleging that Kushboo was seen sitting with her chappals in front of idols of goddeses Lakshmi, Saraswathy and Parvathy, during pooja for the ‘muhurat’ at Chennai on November 22. The photograph was published in a Tamil Weekly and her action had hurt the sentiments of the Hindus, Gurumurthy said in his complaint.

The actress who has been in lot of controversies would have been relieved at this news. She is said to be turning producer with plan to produce four films under her banner. Bharath and Vivek are the likely hero’s of her movie at this point of time.
